Messaging REST API

The Messaging REST API is available as an alternative to the traditional WebSockets based Messaging Window API, for client applications that wish to avoid WebSockets. Unlike the Connector API, which is specific to Consumer interactions only, this API supports interactions from both Consumer and Brand users, and offers all the capabilities of the WebSockets API, including Subscriptions (with notifications delivered over webhooks).

The components on the left (inside "Brand Infrastructure") are to be implemented by the brand, and hosted within the brand's domain/datacenter. The components on the right run within the LivePerson network.
